This week, we’re turning the spotlight (and the heat lamp) on five of our top performers. These ladies don’t clock in, but they do clock eggs. Let’s meet the stars of the henhouse

1. Henrietta “The Overachiever” Clucklesworth
   •   Title: Senior Egg Production Engineer
   •   Favorite Snack: Organic corn with a dusting of crushed oyster shell
   •   Fun Fact: Laid an egg so big last Tuesday it briefly caused a power outage.
   •   Quote: “No yolk, I take my job seriously.”

2. Barbara “Babs” McFluffin
   •   Title: Director of Nest Optimization
   •   Special Skill: Rearranging straw until it’s “just right.”
   •   Known For: Laying eggs in everyone else’s nest and acting surprised.
   •   Quote: “If you can’t find your egg… it might be mine now.”

3. Cluck Norris
   •   Title: Egg Security Specialist
   •   Fun Fact: Has never lost an egg under her watch. Or lost a staring contest.
   •   Known For: Kicking snakes off the premises like a feathered ninja.
   •   Quote: “I don’t lay eggs often, but when I do, I protect them with my life.”

4. Yolko Ono
   •   Title: Creative Eggspression Officer
   •   Special Skill: Lays light brown eggs and sings while doing it
   •   Known For: Starting a trend of abstract straw art in the coop.
   •   Quote: “Some see an egg. I see performance art.”

5. Eggatha Christie
   •   Title: Mystery Egg Strategist
   •   Known For: Leaving eggs in impossible places (the wheelbarrow? seriously?).
   •   Fun Fact: No one’s ever seen her lay an egg. Yet they appear. Always.
   •   Quote: “The egg was never missing. It was simply… misunderstood.”

Our hens have been very busy… and we’re not just talking about gossiping in the coop 🐓

🦚the peahen’s sitting pretty on three eggs
🐣five silkies are currently sitting on eggs
🥚and one overachieving sapphire is incubating a whole egg empire - about 20 eggs thanks to some of the chickens laying their new eggs beside her.

We currently have 4 egg layers. (Red Sexlinks) We get an egg a day from these sweet girls.

Good Evening Everyone!! Shout out to Paige Gowdy and her momma Kelli Gowdy for helping reunite us with our traveling peafowl. After a 4 week adventure and a community search party- she is finally home!!
Huge thanks also to Taylor Guglielmo, Mario Coppa & Cameron, Kristina and Brody Messick, Kerri Moye and Alison Howell for all the peafowl 🦚sightings, searches, text messages , FB post shares TikTok’s and phone calls that kept the hope of her safe return in the forefront.
The last 4 days of her adventure were spent with the Zambrano family and I can’t thank them enough for taking such great care of her!! Stay tuned for more adventures of ……. Pennelope the Peahen 🦚
